Classic Car Servicing and General Maintenance

Servicing & Maintenance

We have extensive expertise, skills and the facilities to service, maintain and repair your classic car; preserving it for future enjoyment. We can provide assessments and estimates for all repairs and aim to work closely with customers to advise them on the best course of action, balancing budget against maintenance essentials. We are happy to offer advice wherever possible and no job is too big or small… our aim is to enable you to enjoy your classic now and in the future.

Classic Car Mechanicals

Mechanicals / Modifications

Our mechanical capabilities include full engine, gearbox and axle rebuilds as well as suspension, brakes and steering reconditioning. If you have a LHD and want RHD we can do that too. We are also able to offer performance and handling upgrades, and improvements such as power steering conversions.

Classic Car Bodywork Restoration

Bodywork, Paint & Trim

We have the capability to cover some minor repairs in-house but for more extensive or specialist work we have preferred bodywork, paint and trim experts, with-whom we have long-standing relationships who understand and meet our exacting standards. These craftsmen are highly skilled in their respective disciplines and that is why we use them.

“Simon conducted a full safety check on my XK8 and made his recommendations accordingly. His estimate was very fair so I gave the go-ahead and within the week the work was done. When I drove the car home, it was like driving a new car, what a fantastic job they performed so 10 out 10. Needless to say I will use Simon Ball to do all my repairs in the future and I recommend SJB Classic Cars to everyone.”

Robert Smith

“We have used SJB to convert a number of LHD cars, including E-Types, to RHD over the past two years and can't praise their work highly enough. Always available to give expert advice they provide a quality of service that we appreciate both personally and as a business.”

M & D Foster

“My XK8 needed some work on the sills to remove rust damage. Simon did his magic; cutting out the affect areas and then fabricating new replacement panels. These were beautifully welded into place and resprayed giving a super finish. Great job couldn't fault the work or the price. Many thanks.”
